SOS Investors

This is what Jim Rogers said in a debate in Shanghai with a chinese professor.

His view of a good investor is:

  1. sceptic - don't believe everything you here on the media, do your own homework, form your own opinion, etc

  2. curious - figure out what people going to do, have your homework and think far ahead

  3. persistent - many will fail along the way, figure out, and come back

He also said 80% of the professional investors do worst than the market average. He also said, don't speculate, or invest base on insider information

MyView

  1. A good investor has to have an independent "thinking process"
  2. Do his or her homework
  3. Willing to go against the crowd, because we know 80% of the crowd will not get rich, only less than 20% will make it
