SOS What a 2013 Year

The year of 2013 is like a roller coaster ride, full of hopes and full of uncertainties.  There is no rooms for regrets tough, even though it is not one of my better years.  But, it could be worst.  Never, ever, regrets on what you could have done or you should not have done.  Concentrate on the things you have done, and reflect on them, look within to improve your moral character.  Perhaps one may ask, what exactly is moral character.

It is actually a very broad terms.  Depends from which prospective of your view.  Confucious is one of the few great teacher of ancient China.  He taught man and woman how to live with high moral character and live in harmony.  However, towards his seventies, he regretted he did not follow the spiritual path much earlier.

Moral character or mind and heart nature, if view from the perspective of Confucious, it mainly describe how to be a good human being, teaching us all the great principles of being a good human being.  However, it does not help us to view it from the perspective from the spiritual side, although he was much more spiritual towards his seventies.

Hence, should we look at moral character from a higher level, i.e. from the perspective of spirituality, the standards or principles held by a genuine spiritual practitioners are much higher than how to be a good human being.  These higher principles actually explain from the perspective from the higher levels but yet to be abide by the practitioners at the lower level of secular society.  One may think, would it be hard.  Yes, in terms of how ordinary people look at it because they do not understand how the reasons behind the higher principles.  In order to understand them, one has to read Zhuan Falun in order to understand how the said principles comes about.

In Buddhism, Sakyamuni in his Dharma, talk about many precepts the disciples must follow, however, he did not explain the original course of the principles.  Until we know the actual reasons behind the precepts, it is rather hard to cultivate without knowing the higher principles or the inner meanings behind those principles.  These will involve the enlightenment of the disciples.  However, in Zhuan Falun, it explain clearly all the rational behind the high level principles, so we could make the right choice in our lives.

There was an old sayings, if you can master others, you are a good leader, if you could master yourself, you are your master of yourself.

SOS Tolerance

What is tolerance?

Normally we tolerate with anger or grieve or hatred.  Especially from the conflict whether in work or at home.  Is it good or not good?  Of course it is not good.  So what is the solution? Fight it off?

Nope, let it go with kindness.  That's all.

SOS Who is right and who is wrong

Whenever there is a conflict, both sides will normally have their own justifications.  Assuming, we are become the judge of the conflict, how do you then decide who is right and who is wrong?

But, then, the conflict between two persons could be due to their karmic relationships, which we are unable to know, because karmic relationships may have developed over many lifetimes.

We can only measure based on the superficial actions taken by both.  That is, we are not able to know the truth of the matter, but only from the surface of the matter.  Of course, we can measure whether a person is good or bad based on the surface by using Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance.  Of course, in the first place, if we are a cultivator, we should not judge what people does, but can learn from their actions and look within ourselves for any attachments.

Anyway, is wrong or right really very important?

2.  Understand and accept the Fa
3.  Follow the requirement of the Fa

Cultivation is a process

SOS Journey of Life

Everyone has his or her own journey of life.  Since human is created by god, would it be correct to say his or her journey of life is predestined or being arranged by gods?

Well, this is rather a sensitive issue.  Some will argue that since it is predestined or fated, being hard working in life would have no effect on our life, isn't it? However, if you give it a deep thought, isn't our life pretty arranged for, our parents will do their best to send us to the best school to get the best education, we will try to work with a big corporation, meet the elites, lives in a happy and comfortable life, become recognized socially, or become a dignify person, or to become rich and famous.

This journey is pretty much govern by the environment that already being set by the society (like it or not).  You cannot enjoy your life first, then go to school when you are in the 30s, and then go into the work force at 33 years old.  This is UNACCEPTABLE to the society today.  Partly because we follow the principle of born, age, ill and death.  Of course no one have instructed us, but the society is formed in such a way that you must sent your child to school at 7, and enter university around 19 years old.  Graduate about 22 years old, and start working from thereon.  Of course, there are few exceptions, example, some poorer people may do their studies later due to financial limitations, other than that, it is save to say 70% of the general public follow this route.  Of course, there are those who comes out and become self employed, which is another route of life.

SCHOOL - UNIVERSITY - WORK - (MARRY) - RETIRE - DEATH

This seems to be the most common routes people take.  As for who you meet in which company, don't you find it is pretty predestined.  Some got it easy and some got it hard, but eventually, they go through pretty much the same.  Of course, along the line, many will say the world is UNFAIR, because, they always think they deserve more.

Even if life is PREDESTINED is true, many will still not believe it, because, the society is working such a way, you have to work hard to get what you want in life.  Of course, some rich kids do not need to do that.

There is also a believe, when a person dies, his soul will continue to live.  So, if he is reborn, he have to go through the same thing all over.  Of course, in Buddhism, they believe in Six Path of Transmigration (i.e. your soul may go to different realms, like being an animal, plant, ghost, heavenly being or rebirth as human).

In short, when you are born with nothing, you take nothing with you when you leave.  So whatever happiness we have, is for that few decades of living.

SOS Where to find Motivation? Part 2

Within.

Depends what drives in within.

Some are driven by fear, some are driven by courage

Some are driven by awareness, some are driven by inborn quality

Whatever drives motivation, it is from within

So, once you know how to make the driver drives, you are the master

SOS Where to find the Motivation

Is life an illusion?
Or delusion for what it is?
Or just a state of mind?

Ever wonder sometime in life, where do we find the motivation to do something?
Is it seeking from external or look within?
The answer is of course look from within.  External motivation is temporary.

But would it be an illusion if we look within?
How do we look within?
What are we looking at?
Who are we looking at?

Looking within is easier said than done.
What happen if you do not know what you are looking for?
Look for the wrong thing, you will get the wrong thing.

Lets start with something simple, assume you are looking for motivation in life.
Where do you look for it?
From within, as you know. So, after searching high and low, you still unable to find
motivation in your life? So how? What should you do?

Wait for part 2. Below is a story that may motivate you for say, a few days.

>Millions of people have been helped in all kinds of ways by practicing Falun Gong. Many have felt renewed after living by the main principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
My family experienced amazing changes after my mother began to practice, and I'd like to share our story.
I'm a practitioner in the countryside of Hebei Province. I started to practice Falun Gong in 1997 when I was 9 years old.

A Life of Misery

At that time, my father had been bedridden for several years due to spinal and tailbone injuries. After his condition improved, my mother got sick and was bedridden. We were not only poor, but we also owed lots of money. Our relatives, including my grandparents, stayed away from us so we wouldn't borrow from them.
At the age of 9, I had to take care of my mother and 4-year-old brother. After getting up at before 5 a.m., I had to prepare breakfast, feed my mother and brother, help mother take her medicine, feed the pigs, and eat something myself before hurrying off to school. Even though I ran all the way to school, I was always late. My teachers criticized me and my classmates laughed at me. I lowered my head, but did not explain why or ask for help. I knew any explanation would bring more harsh criticism.
Because I could not afford the two-yuan book fee, the teacher made fun of me in front of the class saying my family was poor. I hated this world and often thought of committing suicide, but I didn't because I knew someone had to take care of my younger brother. Because her illness was deemed incurable, Mother had a bad temper. My father had a bad temper, too. I felt bad about our family and the burden I had to bear.

Mother Improves

When mother started to practice Falun Gong in 1997, I did not believe in it because I was taught atheism in school. Within several days, however, she was able to get out of bed, walk around, and go outdoors. She began smiling and was able to prepare meals, and everything was so delicious.
What happened to my mother really got my attention, and I wanted to give it a try. We listened to Master’s video lectures many times, and the teachings sank into my mind. My feelings of resentment and complaint decreased, and I wanted to be a better person following the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
One day, an older student beat me up. I cried but did not fight back; nor did I think about revenge. That is how, with Mother's encouragement, I began to practice. We took turns reading Zhuan Falun. There were many Chinese characters that I did not know yet, but I was able to learn them instantly as I read the book. I was enlightened by many principles, and my heart became light. I no longer needed medicine. My relationships with other children improved and so did my grades. When I graduated from elementary school, I was the top student in my town and was admitted to the best middle school in the county. My life was happy and productive.

My Family Begins to Practice

My entire family later began to practice. My father's health and temper improved. He was also able to go to work and support the family. My mother became very healthy, and she could work on the farm with no problem. My younger brother's illnesses were gone, and he became more mature through the practice. Gradually our income improved. We not only paid off all our debts, we were also able to save.
My aunt started to practice after she witnessed the amazing changes in our family. Years before, she had a baby who was often sick and eventually died. My mother told her about Falun Gong, and she started to practice. Not only did her health improve, she had another baby who was very healthy. Her husband did not practice, but he really supported her. Once he was severely ill and the doctors told the family to prepare for his funeral. He did not listen and recited “Falun Dafa is good” every day. He soon recovered.

Supporting Mother and Opposing the Persecution

In the midst of the happiness that Falun Gong had brought us, the communist regime began to suppress it. On April 24, 1999, mother told us that she had to go to Beijing because many practitioners had been illegally arrested. She left me some money and reminded me to take care of my younger brother. Although my father was working in another city, my brother and I were not afraid, because we knew Mother had made the right decision.
Mother soon returned. We thought the problem was over, but it wasn't. The massive persecution started a couple of months later, on July 20. Mother was always busy reminding people how wonderful Falun Gong is. We couldn't understand why officials would stop us from practicing. From our own experience, we knew practicing Falun Gong greatly improves people, both morally and physically. Although the communist regime made up lies to defame Falun Gong, we knew nothing they said was true. Therefore, I fully supported my mother by helping with household chores and taking care of my brother. Then the staged Self-Immolation on Tiananmen Square happened. We absolutely didn't believe this either, because we learned from Falun Gong that committing suicide was sinful.
Mother was arrested many times, and she was often beaten badly. She also went on hunger strikes several times while she was detained. As a result of the abuse, my mom became very thin. As soon as she was released, she resumed doing the exercises and read Falun Gong books. Each time, she quickly recovered.
After Mother was arrested, my grandparents, uncles, and aunts were very afraid. I was confident that she would come back. Another time after she was arrested, I brought her some clothes. Many practitioners had stopped practicing due to the intense torture and brainwashing. To encourage her I put two of Master's articles in the clothes, hoping she would see them and remain determined.
Later, Mother did return. She was very weak after being tortured for a long time. She had lost hearing in both ears and her ankles were broken. She studied the Fa and did the exercises after returning home and recovered completely.
I am sharing our experiences to tell people that Falun Dafa is good and to help the persecution to end soon.

SOS Journey to the end of the world

Where exactly is end of the world?

End of the world can has a few meanings to different people.  End of the world could mean the entire world will be in flame due to a collision with other objects in the galaxies or universe.

On a contrary, on a positive note, end of the world will be a place people find salvation.  It could be end of this cruel world, into a new pure world.

Whatever it is, the path that one takes is critical.  One will lead you to, not that great prospect, the other to a wonderful world. Isn't it?  Well, it depends on the journey you take.

What if you really don't know which journey you should take?  No worries, it is predestine.

SOS Don't read, you will never understand

Don't read, it comes from my mind, only I can understand this.

Whenever there is tribulations in your life, think rationally
  1. with righteous thoughts and righteous actions
  2. look within for attachments and let them go
  3. react calmly and with kindness
  4. remain unwaver and confident

Why is it so important we do it the way suggested above, be reminded that
  1. it is a great opportunity to cultivate yourself
  2. allow you to find your attachments
  3. cherish it, because it is the Great Law
  4. cherish it with your life because it only happen once in this lifetime
How do we do that?
  1. Read the Fa more
  2. Read clearwisdom and compare yourself and eliminate the attachments
  3. What would a "dxxxxx" do if faced with the problem

SOS What really ordinary people want?

What really ordinary people want?  Some search for whole life and still wondering what is the purpose of life.  I believe I can sum up some of the purpose of what an Ordinary People want:

  1. to be renowned (well respected and acclaimed);
  2. to be comfortable in life (financially free);
  3. to have a happy life (harmonious family);
  4. to attain personal interest (what they want out of life).
However, more than 90% will tell you they haven't achieve that.  Why?  Because, it is a nature of a human being to want more?  That is, they always want more of what they don't have and forget about the abundant that they have.

In short, they are forever in pursuit of something physical or emotional.  This pursuit never cease until their last breath.  In short, basically what they are after is material and emotional gains, which we know, cannot be taken with after your last breath.

So, this will go on and on and on........................

SOS Compassion

Compassion (ci bei) transcend beyond human love or kindness.  When there is emotions, there is attachments.  When there is no emotions, then, it is wu wei, or no attachments.  Above that, it will be compassion.

Kindness or compassion does not comes overnight.

It has to be cultivated.  Example, if today, you are ask to let go all your self-interest, desires and attachments, you may have all the will in the world to say you can do it, but in reality, you cannot.  Why, it has to be cultivated away, or gradually let go.

For example, if you are the impatient type, you cannot become patient overnight. First, you must have the will to change.  Then, during your daily life, you are tested.  Then, if your will power is strong, it is gradually gone.  Then you will become patient gradually.

SOS emotions and self interest

What does ordinary people want in life?

  1. to be happy
  2. enjoy life
  3. comfortable life
  4. wonderful family
  5. status
  6. look up upon

How do they get this?

  1. work hard, to earn lots of money to fulfill most of the above
  2. struggle, compete, and fight to obtain it

How does one measure success?

  1. in this reality world, basically is financial achievement, at least this is what most people perceive it
How does this measurement different from ancient time?

  1. Ancient people value virtue more than money.

Wonder how those rich businessman got their financial achievements?

  1. Some via corruptions
  2. Some via taking advantage of others
  3. Some via good ties with government to provide projects
  4. But not many via honest mean
CONCLUSION

Basically ordinary human live to satisfy his or her self interest and emotion.  Which it cannot be brought to the future live after death. Of course, one will ask, is it worth all the struggle and competition to obtain it?  This is debatable.

SOS What is an ideal world?

What is an ideal world?

Perhaps what comes to mind is world peace, no sufferring, everyone is happy and emotionally satisfying.  Well, you can include it in your bucket list.  This environment, although achievable but it is impossible for the time being.  The reason I said that can be evident from what is happening to the world today.  War, crimes, homosexuality, adultery, rapes, kidnaps, prostitution, organ harvesting, torture, hatred, corruption, illnesses, epidemic, human trafficking, gangsters, corrupted authorities, immoral activities, and the list goes on.

So, what is an ideal world?

  1. Think of others first before we do anything
  2. Look within when problems arise, don't point figures at others
  3. Stay calm and kind disregard of all matters positive or negative
  4. Have a compassion and tolerance heart, and be truthful
  5. Gradually remove all human attachments, desires and demonic thoughts
  6. Improve morality
  7. Be compassionate to all beings
  8. Built virtues
  9. Remove envy and jealousy
The nine factors I mentioned sound simple and can be followed, but in reality, it is impossible to achieve.  If it is achievable, why are there so much social illnesses? Poverty? Crime? Corruption etc.

Today's measure of success is really distorted.  It is measure by only one factor, money.  Well, the reason we come to that is because of ourselves, we let money to become the measurement and the only tangible achievement people can see.

I personally worked with billionaires and millionaires (Tan Sri, Dato' Seri, Dato', Datuk etc), and I can only sum up in one word, they are morally corrupted.  What they do is basically cheat from the mass, and enrich themselves.  They have all the justifications and excuses for themselves when they are confronted, saying, the environment is like that, everyone does it, this is a way of life in this society.  It is this way because they let it, it takes two hands to clap. The easy way out is to blame.

Some twisted minds or majority even supported this concept, saying that this is street smart.  In the ancient time, these people is a disgrace to the society, and should be stoned to death.  Because, today the law is on their side, they will use money to buy their way out.  I can safely says that they are just cowards hiding behind laws.

SOS What is Cultivation Practice?

This world is seldom being used.  What is cultivation practice (CP) means? Many do not know it because it is normally used in the context of cultivator, or practitioners in a type of spiritual practice.

In layman term, it means, continuously practice to improve one's moral standard or character.  It sounds intangible but on the same hand it is tangible.  Just like mind and matter is one.  Science has investigated that when a person has a thought, there is energy in the thought, although can't be seen with naked eye like sound. So, a thought (mind), is also a kind of matter, but a microscopic matter.

Buddhism is a spiritual teaching by Gautama Buddha.  Jesus Christ is also a god that teaches a spiritual belief which is also called religion by man.  Laozi teaches the Dao, Jenovah teaches Judaism.  All these spiritual beliefs are actual a type of cultivation practice.  All of these teaching aim to attain godhood or enlightened being.  It is just being called differently.

In China, there are many types of Buddhism (branches) from the Hinayana.  They also has cultivation practice that is taught one to one, i.e. master to disciple type of CP.  Gautama Buddha mentioned that there are 84,000 ways of CP, Laozi said there are 3,600 ways and many mores.  These are based on their understanding.

Falun Dafa is also one of the 84,000 ways of CP.  It is called a type of qigong, which also has the same meaning of CP.  So, Falun Dafa can be defined as the CP of Buddha School QiGong.  Please bear in mind that there is a great difference between Buddha School QiGong and Buddhism.  Buddism is founded by Gautama Buddha 2,500 years ago.  Buddha School QiGong, i.e. Falun Dafa, is founded by Master Li Honzhi, in 1992, who teaches the highest principle of the universe and the most effective way of CP.  It was also spread to humankind in the previous civilisation.

After practicing it for 10 years or more, I find it the best CP available during this period of time.  It provides all the answers about creation of life, humankind, dimensions, and the universe.  Besides improving your health, it also strengthen your mental ability and spiritual principles.

SOS Study = Knowledge = Money (Part 2)

From the earlier blog, you will realise that the measurement of Success is different from ancient time vs today's society.  Due to the materialistic environment, the society is force to conform with this trend without knowing the consequences.

THIRD PERSPECTIVE

How our society evolved over the last few thousand years are principally predetermined, by higher beings. There is an ancient saying, everything goes through Born, Statis, Degenerate, Disintegrate.  This is the same anology of Born, Age, Ill, Death cycle, that is predetermined by outer force, which is not within our control.  So, this concept has been evolved/developed to this stage by gradual believe is science more than the spiritual aspects i.e. from good to bad.  Disregard it is good or bad, we have to conform with this environment in order to survive, i.e. we have to conform with this distorted environment to go back to our origin.

CONCLUSION

Today's morality is far worst than few thousand years ago can be notice from the few following examples:

  1. human believe in science more than "spirituality" which they considered as superstitious;
  2. social problems that bring about by human themselves is irreparable (crimes, homosexual, promiscuity, corruptions, etc)
  3. human behaviours today is inverted (people measure things oppositely)
  4. human no longer value virtues or morality

SOS Study = Knowledge = Money

Someone ask me, does studying hard, gaining knowledge equates to making more money? Based on the surface meaning, it sound logic.  But is it really true, more knowledge equal to more money? The short answer is depends from which perspective do you view this issue from.

TODAY'S SOCIETY PERSPECTIVE

OK, lets look at it from statistics points of view.  Those who good in academic, will go to the big league universities, will eventually landed with a good job, with a good company with good money.  So, based on this chain of progression, it is partly true, studying hard, getting into top universities, highly likely will end up with good money job.  So, in conclusion it is not incorrect.

So how do we argue this other wise.  There are some people who study very hard, but end up with a poor paying job.  Most businessman, who doesn't study very hard, but makes lots of money.  So from this aspect, you can say it does not correlate.  But then again, we can also safely said most study well, goes to good school, will generally end up with good job.  So, we cannot dispute that.  So the correlation is not 100% true, but more than 50% true.

From a broader perspective, we cannot really equate study hard with good result equal to good school and eventually equal to good job and good money.  There are more to it, knowledge is suppose to lead the development in the respective country from poor to rich, but also maintain civilization and morality of the people.  Without which, what you want a society of rich people, but, have no regards to morality and virtues, which eventually will be stressful and chaotic.

Of course, in a materialistic world, MONEY or whoever has the a lot of MONEY, people will give him or her more respect.  So, in the current society, the measurement of SUCCESS is MONEY, period.  No point debating on this issue.  In ancient time, teacher is one of the most respected profession.  Today, because, teacher does not makes a lot of money, it is not a respected profession anymore.  The most respected profession today is actually bankers or investment bankers, they make the most money, so there are the most respect profession.  If we don't conform with the NORM, we are consider an outcast.  Not many parents want their kids to be a teacher, literally with the MONEY, you cannot survive well.  OK, of course, besides eventually study will enhance knowledge will lead us to a good job, but there are more to Knowledge right.  But then again, if the knowledge do not translate into MONEY, it remain knowledge, which based on today's society measurement, it doesn't mean much, far from being successful.  So what is the bottom line here.  It it really mean, knowledge = money, and that's it.

ANCIENT SOCIETY'S PERSPECTIVE

Ok, bringing back this concept to the ancient time, say a few thousand years ago, where morality is still good, you are said to have a poor enlightenment quality if you equates knowledge to making MONEY.  Ancient people are generally more spiritual and morally better than today's society, they value virtues, good manners, respect of parents or elderly,  etc.  The teacher profession in fact the most highly respected.

ANCIENT SOCIETY vs TODAY SOCIETY

So, the difference is actually can be seen by the morality factor.  Ancient society value more on virtues, morality and mannerism while today's society, well, basically value more on money.  So that statement on study equates to knowledge equates to money is mainly true in today's society.   But if we look at it from a broader point of view, children goes to school not only to study and obtain knowledge, actually the value of EDUCATION has been taken out of the equation.  School is suppose to educate children in all aspects, from morality to academic.  Hence, the emphasis has changed drastically over the years.  I will elaborate further from another's perspective, in Part 2 later.

SOS morality

This are what science and technology cannot measure with their latest instruments:

  1. virtues
  2. karma or sins
  3. morality
  4. humanity
  5. compassion
  6. truth
  7. tolerance
  8. sentimentality
  9. predestined relationship
  10. all intangible things which exist
Comparing with the UFOs that flying in and out of the space from one dimension to another at a speed of light, our science and technology is rather undeveloped.

Until it is able to change their conventional thinking, the truth of the universe will remain.

SOS Sensitive topic....... Religion

Religion as defined by Wikipedia, is an organised collection of beliefs, cultural systems, and world views that relate humanity to the supernatural, and to spirituality.  Many religions may have organized behaviours, clergy, a definition of what constitutes adherence or membership, holy places and scriptures.  The practice of a religion many also includes rituals, sermons, commemoration or veneration of a diety, gods or goddesses, sacrifices, festivals, or other aspects of human culture.

It is a long definition, but one important aspects not mentioned is that religion was formed by human. Commonly, it involved membership, holy place and scriptures, and has its only formality or ritual.

OK, lets us not debate on the definition, but rather discuss on the substance.

There was once, a Christian asked me the following questions about my belief:

1. What is your belief based on?
2. Why do you choose this belief?
3. How certain are you that this belief is the correct one?
4. Would you waver in your belief is you are faced with life and death situation?
5. Do you believe in afterlife?

The short version answer to the above questions is (I choose to practice Falun Dafa), is that it improve my mental, physical and spiritual aspect of my life and provide me to all my questions about origin of life, space-time, humanity and the universe.  As for the remaining questions on what is it based upon, why you choose that belief, certainty, and facing life and death situation, my simple answer would be, it depends on you enlightenment quality, inborn quality, predestined relationship and how steadfast are you in that belief and a few other factors.

I will not comment further as you may be already confuse with all these terms you many not heard of.  Let just say, the reason I practice Falun Dafa (www.falundafa.org) because it can provide me with all the answers I am looking for about humanity, origin of life, dimensions, and the universe and expound all the principles behind them.

I am not doubting that other "religions" ability to provide all the answers, but, I did say, it also involved predestined relationship and other factors.

SOS Don't judge a book by its cover

Don't judge a book by its cover..........

A human being is a very complicated living being
They have many faces
They have many self interest
They definitely don't show its true self

Some are good with words,
Some are good in pleasing their bosses,
Some are good in complaining about others,
Some think they are good,
But the real truth.......... is........ never judge a book by its cover.

SOS What is happening?

Today's environment is extremely complex.  In the name of development and advancement in technology, it has quite an influence in any society.  But unfortunately, it comes with the BAD influence as well.  For an innocent child, it would be BAD influence, because their notion will form their character and morality.

Some example of BAD influences

  • nudity
  • homosexuality
  • drugs
  • prostitution
  • corruptions
  • indecent tv, movies, etc
  • gambling
  • violent

How is then a child is protected from all these BAD influence.  It is almost everywhere.  When we walk on the streets, you can see nudity in advertisement, tv, movies, electronic gadgets and books.  Almost everywhere, unless you live in the forest.

First and foremost, we can only influence them when they are young but we are not able to CONTROL them.  Hence, we can only teach and advice them having a good moral and virtue.

The measurement for morality has also change.  The standard for measuring the moral of a person has also dropped.

Disregard young or old, the person is influence by its environment he or she is in.  But I believe, there is a Buddha nature in everyone.  Of course, on the opposite, there is also a Demon nature in everyone.  The path of spirituality is gradually being taken over by the materialistic world.  However, if a person's goal is to attain enlightenment, there is still hope for him or her.  You can visit www.falundafa.org to find out more.

SOS Is there a purpose in life?

Most of us is so busy with our lives day in day out.  I haven't blog over almost a year

Sometimes we get lost and wonder what is the purpose of life.  And most of us, are unable to find the answer, I mean, the real purpose of life besides in pursuit of happiness.

I will leave it to you to figure out, your own purpose of life, as it is very personal.  Whatever it is, here is a true story we need to be aware of in our life, as we go about our lives, thinking what happen elsewhere has nothing to do with us.

In 1992, Master Li Hongzhi founded and started a cultivation practice called Falun Gong.  It was introduce to the public in 1992 in China and outside China a few years later.  It was well received by the Chinese authorities then, and gain a lot of recognition from the Qi Gong Association.  It is taught to the public free of charge.  Most people join due to word of mouth recommendations as many people's health improved after learning it.  The numbers grow from thousands to about 70 million in China in 1998.

Jiang Zheming, the president then, was jealous due to the growth of popularity of Falun Gong.  He is also worried internally he will lose power.  He then, using his power as the head of CCP, issue a notice to persecute the practitioners in July 1999.  He used its military power and the media to SLANDER falun gong.   Until today, the persecution continues, although not as vicious as the earlier years.

Falun Gong practitioners mainly consist of elderly people, who follow the principle of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance.  They have suffered tremendously over the last 10 over years due to the persecution.

Falun Gong is a cultivation practice that improve our mind and physical health. Why is CCP - China Communist Party wants to persecute this group of peace loving people?

You may want to know why?  Perhaps it can also answer your own fundamental question on the purpose of life?
